A helping hand as to who to inform when someone has died

When a person dies there are many things that need to be done, and often at a time of great personal distress. It can be difficult enough dealing with bereavement without having to deal with the deceased's property, possessions and personal matters. You will also need to ascertain if there is a will, and who is the appointed executer for the estate and probate. Allwood Funeral Directors would recommend you contact your solicitor for advice on these matters.

As well as informing relatives and friends about the death, on a more practical side you will have to inform the bank and or building society inform insurance companies and many other people such as pension scheme provider, mortgage provider, utility companies and GP, right down to the local newsagents. If required.

Allwood Funeral Directors will where ever possible give advice and guidance on what to do, who to inform and when, below is a list of some of the people to inform.
